My June 2024

Yay, the rebirth is near. It's a dive down for now though...

I’m in Armenia, which feels as sudden as it sounds. I’m here because of a visa thing for a friend’s big event in the EU. If it goes well, I will tell you more next month. Football also found its way back into my life with the World Cup — I ended up making some football videos in Russian again, and it sparked something in me to consider creating football content once more. I even did a video on my godforsaken channel. Sadly, YouTube isn't giving me a tool for multilingual sound, which would be very nice.

But most of my time was spent hiking in the mountains and reflecting on where I was going. Here’s what I tuned to while doing this:

Song - Wiseman by Damian Marley

Damian Marley never misses. Every song feels like a life lesson wrapped in melody. “Wiseman” is one more to add to the list of beautiful messages. Like father, like son.

Documentary - Wham!

Total nostalgia. Watching George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s rise in the ‘80s was a joy. Wham! was pure pop magic, and this documentary captured that energy perfectly.

June was a month for reconnecting with old passions and looking forward. So... sorry, a new country - not enough time to read and watch.

My May 2024

Yay, the rebirth is near. It's a dive down for now though...

Big decision this month: We've finally gone separate ways with my full-time job place. It feels like a weight off my shoulders, even though it's a bit terrifying. This time around, I’m confident it's the right move. My last stint abroad without a steady income didn’t go well, but this time feels different. It somehow feels... confident?

I don't know how it works, but I'm sure that it is a Serbia effect. Also, I have the most supportive friends and family, you can't convince me otherwise.

And how fitting to get a rebirth month on my birthday month? Look at what I did with a little bit of help from my lovely friend Julie to get some "psychiatrist effect".

And so this time the update would be normal-sized. Good times!

Song - Hind's Hall by Macklemore

Macklemore delivered a masterpiece with this one. Lyrically on point, musically stunning, and a bold statement on the Free Palestine movement. Massive respect for him for speaking up.

Book - Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

This satire on the publishing industry hit all the right spots. It’s biting, smart, and thought-provoking, dealing with race and privilege in ways you don’t see often in mainstream fiction.

TV Show - Fallout

A gritty, dystopian show that brings the post-apocalyptic world to life. The characters and tension kept me on edge the whole time.

Documentary - Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie

This was a tearjerker. Michael J. Fox is an icon, and seeing his resilience in the face of Parkinson’s disease was both heartbreaking and inspiring.

May was about taking control and stepping into the unknown. Letting go of security can be frightening, but sometimes it’s the only way to find freedom.

Let's hope I'm on the right path.

My April 2024

It's going in the wrong direction, ladies and gentlemen...

April was tough, plain and simple. I’ve been frustrated with work for a while, but this month it really hit me that I need a change. Every day felt like a grind, and no matter how much I read or watched, nothing seemed to click. And it's just about my job, I know it's dragging me down. So let's hope for some changes in May, don't we?

Song - God Mode by Tom MacDonald

Connor Price keeps pushing the limits. This track has energy, grit, and enough emotion to keep you coming back for more.

Other - Eclipse Shot by Red Bull and Peter McKinnon

One of my favorite companies in terms of collaborations with creators Red Bull and one of my favorite creators Peter McKinnon as a collab couldn't be dull and boring. But this... THIS??? ARE WE LOOKING AT THE SAME PHOTOS? IS IT EVEN REAL? I can't even grasp how much work has been done to make this. Also, I hope Peter will do a video about this experience.

Yes. That's all. Again - watched a lot, and read a lot, but in that state of mind, I just want to keep these posts going to not abandon them. I don't want to recommend you something that didn't click with me, even if it's a 99% chance it would click another month. So keep up, I'm absolutely okay, but I need something new. Maybe the silence is the only way to figure out what’s next.
